Does mouthwash help with gum disease

We do not recommend that you use an over the counter mouthwash to help “disinfect” your gums. It is important to know that your mouth, just like the rest of your body, hosts its own healthy microcosm of bacteria. (This is a good thing!) “Disinfecting” your mouth with harsh chemicals can actually make your periodontal.
